Sometimes there are no words.
We are unable to understand.
We feel crippled.
Will there be a place where we can rest?
Who will hold us so we can go on?
Strength? We can't find it.
1 Peter 5-11 NIV
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.
Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
Be self-controlled and alert.
Your enemy the devil
Prowls around like a roaring lion
Looking for someone to devour.
Resist him, standing firm in the faith
Because you know that your brothers
Throughout the world are undergoing
The same kind of sufferings.
And the God of all grace
Who called you to His eternal glory in Christ
After you have suffered a little while
Will Himself restore you and make you strong
Firm and stedfast
To Him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
To an unbeliever it may seem like we use God for a bandage or a crutch. It is said in a way that makes it sound like that's a bad thing.
As a believer in Jesus I am willing to say this is true. Where would I be without the bandage of Jesus blood covering my sins? Or the Word of God full of wisdom, a crutch to lean on. I am weak. I need help. I need these things to get through, to help my brother get through.
Have you ever gone on in life thinking you have it sort of bad and then an event happens and everything is put into perspective. Suddenly, you realize how good you really do have it, and how incredibly blessed you really are. Tell your people how blessed you are to have them in your life. Give them a hug. Make them a special meal. Do it now! Don't wait till something bad happens. We are here to serve each other.
Have a good weekend loving God and each other.
There you have it! Amen. And Amen!
