Tongue-tied but Obedient

There are times I know not what to say. 

Jesus said it might happen.

But He also said, "Don't worry about it. I will give you the words in that moment".

I didn't think it would be in a living room or car. Maybe in a courtroom under trial; some place important. 

Did you know there are people, self made reporters if you will, who go around exposing and laying bare lies and deceit that they find within their culture?

They do this under the guise of discernment. 

This isn't speaking the truth in love.

This is raw judgement and hypocrisy.

"For with what judgement you judge, you will be judged." Jesus words. Not mine.

Grace of God. 

It should move a believer to prayer and petition for the wrongs or rights reported.

Because where is the work of the Holy Spirit to be done if man is constantly interfering with personal agenda and manipulation?

We need more of: Who am I? That You, Lord, are mindful of me? And...How Great are You, Lord! 

In other words, less of me and my or your problems, more of God and His greatness. 

Praise and Worship to God definitely above exposure and frailty of man...

Please let this be your response if you are invited in to slander or gossip or exposure. 

But don't worry about your response. "Abide in Me, and I in You" -Jesus

The Holy Spirit gives you your response if you are abiding. He literally makes it fall from your tongue.

 Trust Him. Be quiet if that doesn't happen.

The work of the Holy Spirit doesn't need our help; just our surrender. 

Nearly all earthly messes can't be tackled properly by man's human effort. It requires prayer and abiding and trusting and obeying God first, before the using of words.

Oh sweet Jesus, help us to know this deeply.

I keep being asked when I am going to write my book. It's my own fault...I blabbered about it so many times through out the years.  Years. Yes, it has been years. I am approaching 50 rapidly. Growing up in the 80's

I was born in 1976. Some of my siblings last night, on the family page, went wild with history that was going on at their time of birth. It was interesting. I googled my own but got distracted with remembering the 80's and 90's. The parts of living in a little girls mind without the history lesson, that is... Sunday mornings. Tight braids and hair balls. Unbearably tight braids that made my eyes water. I'd go to the mirror to make sure my eyes weren't squinting. Thick cotton socks stuffed inside black shiny buckle shoes. The buckles were  often stretched out on the shoes, so that they buckled loosely at best. And the hair balls also had lost their elasticity. The Dress...double knit polyester, green with big purple flowers. Hot and scratchy. Jelly shoes and moon boots. If you know, you know. Tights that hung low in the crotch. No such thing as leggings. Empty Nest Thoughts

It's been a whole series of wonderful, weird weeks since becoming empty nesters. Days and Nights are taking on a different rhythm than the past 25 years. We still wake up to do a days work, 5:00 a.m. early... on the days Bruce leaves the house for work. My fingers hover over the keyboard on my phone, tapping out a message to one of the kids, I stop myself from sending it just in time. It is still too early? Or maybe it is intrusive and irrelevant? I'll wait to send it and ask the Holy Spirit to do a little editing while I have one more cup of coffee. Not that I am an intrusive or irrelevant person. I know this is not true. I have confidence that I love and have loved them all to the best of my ability. But I also see and remember the thing of letting go. Our parents did that well.
